Malaysia's Cabinet - Colours Paint a Thousand Words

(click2 on image to enlarge and see true colours)
The long awaited Cabinet has been announced and there must be many disappointed parties; especially in the GERAKAN and MIC that fared rather poorly and also among the East Malaysian parties who only have been given fringe portfolios.

It appears to be more a rear-guard action; with the circling of the wagons before the onslaught of a superior force - the awakening of Malaysians.

angus, good work. was thinking of doing that chart too. no point reinventing the wheel now.

keep it up!

Great chart. However, if you could plot another chart showing the number of seats won by the party against the number of cabinet posts that party has, it would surprise you. What is evident is MIC and MCA are over-represented whilst the parties from Sabah and Sarawak are not. So, does BN practice 'power sharing' that it so often proclaims?

thanks for your comments
Guess UMNO knows that to try and get back voters from West Malaysia they need the Chinese and Indian partners.

But East Malaysians too are not too happy with the less important postings.
